Urbanfantasylite

From a Kindle promo website comes this definition of urban fantasy:
magical elements set within the real world.

Many UFs are very dark, grim, serious. As none of my novels contain these elements, it seemed appropriate to add the word "lite" to my site. Not "light" as in bright and shiny and enlightening, "lite" as in beer, entertaining.

Skol!

Free short stories

Valentine Vampire is a short ebook with two stories about Dominic, a character in the Turning Vampire series. If you like a little history with a vampire romance, Valentine Vampire is set in Chicago on the night of the St. Valentine’s Day massacre in 1929 which happened two blocks from my grandmother’s house and yes, she heard the machine guns. Back then, nobody went running out into the street to investigate gunfire.
FREE for nook, Smashwords, Kobo.

Enjoy!

My latest hobby -

Because I have all this free time to procrastinate -
Writing has led me to a new hobby. I have no photo skills, but fortunately modern cameras do all the hard stuff. This gives me a chance to snap locations of scenes in my books. Some of my photos get incorporated into the book covers. Now some of my amateur shots are at http://mudflatbks.blogspot.com.

Why am I procrastinating? Well, I just finished the third book for my Turning Vampire series for Dark Quest and must now get busy on the fourth book in the Sunspinner series. And maybe a seventh book for the Mudflat Magic series, but probably not until 2014. Currently, I have a novel and two short story collections FREE at several sites. You can find the link to your specific ereader on my website at http://phoebematthews.com,  The free novel is Tyrant Trouble.

Hugs and happy reading,
Phoebe Matthews
